 FAQs

  • The wristbands are (1) a device that records your activity level and sleep and (2) a device that measures your proximity to your service dog.

  • They provide information about your general activity, sleep schedule, naps, time awake, and information about your sleep quantity and quality. They also provide information about whether you and your service dog are together. They do not use GPS.

  • You will wear the wristbands all day and all night throughout the two-week study periods.

  • Yes. You can wear them while you shower or bathe, but remove them if you are going to use a hot tub, sauna, or pool.

  • Stop using them and let the study team know right away if a rash or reddening appears.

If one of the devices becomes damaged, remove it and contact us.

  • The wristbands should not need to be cleaned while you have them. However, if you must clean them, use a soft cloth lightly moistened in mild detergent (such as dish soap) and water to gently remove dirt and stains. Do NOT use abrasives or alcohol as they may damage the wristbands.

  • After each two-week study period, please return the wristbands following the instructions in the Shipping section of the study booklet or website.

  • You do not need to charge or do anything else with either of the wristbands. They are all set up so all you need to do is wear them.
